Stable methods for determining the surface impedance of an obstacle from low frequency far field data

Abstract

An integral equation of the first kind is derived for the determination of the surface impedance of an obstacle from a knowledge of the far pattern at low values of the frequency. A discussion is provided of the computational problems involved in solving this improperly posed problem.
