Abstract

A complex matrix V of order n×n is said to be almost definite if for a complex n-tuple . Interrelations between the blocks of a generalized inverse of the complex matrix

are obtained when V is an almost definite matrix. These results are used to study the transfer impedance in the Duffin-Morley general linear electromechanical system.
