Eigensolution expansions for generalized maxwell fields

Abstract

Maxwell's equations may be formulated using al ternating differential forms and may thus be generalized to arbitrary dimensional manifolds and abitrary degrees of forms. In this paper the initialboundary value problem of total refleion of (generalized) electromagnetic waves is con sidered on aRiemannian C0,1manifold with boundary, thus allowing in particular for domains with corners. The problem of generalized eigensolution expansions and the long time be haviour of solutions is treated in the framework of C.H. Wil cox's approach to scattering theory in this case of comparab ly low regularity. As an application of generalized eigensolu tion expansions a representation of the wave operator is given
