Abstract
In a recent paper C.C. Travis has given a method of proof which is completely independent of the type of the partial differential equation being considered and allows the consideration of a class of nonstandard boundary conditions. In this paper we generalize his method and extend his analysis to consider a wide range of singular boundary value problems for hyperbolic type differential equations in infinite domains.
