On a characteristic problem for a certain partial differential equation of non-integer order

Abstract

The paper concerns a certain partial differential equation of non-integer order with boundary conditions prescribed on the characteristics of the equation. The problem is reduced to a non-linear Volterra integral equation and hence the existence and uniqueness of global solution is proved
