A perturbation problem related to the highly compressible behaviour of a fluid in a thin porous layer

Abstract

An asymptotic variational approximation for a unilateral evolutionary problem arising in percolation in a nearly flat sand-bank is proposed here by means of a diffusion problem for a fluid exhibiting high compressibility in a narrow strip at soil level
