Stability of optimal output least squares estimators in certain beams and plate models

Abstract

In this note we obtain sufficient conditions for the existence of positive La-grange multipliers associated with norm constraints. The positivity of these multipliers implies regularity properties of the optimal estimators. In addition we present a class of boundary value problems for which we can demonstrate stability of infinite dimensional estimation problems having constraints without the benefit of regularization
