A singular limit in the drift diffusion model for semiconductors coupled with maxwell's equations

Abstract

The drift diffusion model coupled with Maxwell's equations is considered in the electrostatic limit, i.e. the magnetic susceptibility tends to zero. It is shown that the solutions converge to the soluition of the drift diffusion model coupled with Poisson's equation and prescribed voltage. For this purpose new mixed boundary conditions for Maxwell's equations are introduced
