Abstract
We prove comparison results for solutions of Hamilton-Jacobi equations, which adapt and extend a recent result by 0. Alvarez [A] to the Cauchy problem. Our results can be applied even to Hamilton-Jacob1 equations withnonconvex Hamiltonians. We examine the comparison results with examples treated recently by M.Bar& and F. DaLio [BD] and by W. M. McEneaney [M].
