Abstract

In this paper we study the existence of solutions of the contact problem for the one dimensional thermoelastic system

The elastic medium is fixed at x=0 and unilaterally constrained at x=1. We prove the exponential decay of solutions when f=h=0. The physical parameters p,c,η,k and are positive funcitons.
