On the uniqueness of laminar channel flow with injection

Abstract

This paper. investigates the uniqueness of the laminar flow generatd by injection of a viscous and incompressible fluid through porous channel walls. The steady state solution of the flow is governed by the nonlinear equation

with the boundary conditions
, where R ⁢ 0 is the Reynolds number.ƒ = ƒ(y)is the unknown function. The paper proves that for any R⁢0 the boundary value problem has a unique solution, which is symmetric.
