Abstract

In the United States there are two types of antirabies vaccines available for use in humans. The vaccine of duck embryo origin is used in the majority of the 30,000 people treated annually because it produces fewer serious reactions and stimulates a quicker antibody response. The types of animal vaccines licensed in the United States and their recommended regimen in the various species of domestic animals are included.
