Visible Thinking: Using Contemporary Art to Teach Conceptual Skills

Abstract

Contemporary art offers us a wide array of genres, media, and methods for making art. It could be said that today art is richer, more varied, and more increasingly challenging than ever before. Moreover, current art seems to reveal more of the conceptual or cognitive processes involved in creating art than historical art.
