Abstract
I draw purely for pleasure. (My studio is for work, for reverie, for slow decisions and changes that leave heaps of debris. It is paint, canvas, water, plaster, and wire.) So I draw in my house, in my bedroom, on porches where there are comfortable places for the model to recline. The models need pillows and cushions to pillow their curves and to cushion the weights on their elbows and hips.

Fritz Bultman read this paper a few months ago at the University of Texas in conjunction with a one-man show of drawings that had been circulating … “an extraordinarily fine group of drawings—clear, cool and at the same time drawing much of its warmth from Fritz's response to his models”—Donald Goodall, University of Texas at Austin.
