Abstract
The 59th Annual Meeting of the College Art Association of America, Inc. took place in Chicago on January 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 1971, with headquarters at the huge Conrad Hilton Hotel, and as in past years it was convened jointly with the Annual Meeting (24th) of the Society of Architectural Historians. (Many historians belong to both organisations.) The editor of Art Journal has regularly published accounts of the meetings in the Spring issue; based mostly on brief, personal observations. For this year Anne Hanson, one of the Board members and an active participant in many of the meetings, including this one, agreed to serve as a roving reporter, drop in on a number of the sessions, talk to delegates and write a personal account. And in addition, Wanda Corn, of Mills College, a new member of the Board, has sent us some of her observations. Both accounts appear below.
