Abstract
Yesterday Blair Proctor was a lovely, unspoiled girl of twenty-one, with a future as unclouded as her past. That was before she saw her mother killed and her father mentally destroyed in a weird, inexplicable accident. That was before she had to become guardian to her three younger sisters in her once-happy home. That was before she started getting looks of pity from her neighbors, and unwelcome attentions from a brutal yet disturbingly fascinating young man.
