Abstract
I have the kind of memory that is mostly useless as a way of lending an ordered structure to time and experience. Some of my recollections are so implausibly textured that I sometimes think they could only have been invented. Nevertheless, they constitute a kind of dream language that mediates between the unconscious and the lived experience.
