I have supported my memory of Alan Tweedie by drawing on three sources:
(1) An undated family record, particularly relevant to the period prior to his coming to Australia.
(2) An introduction by K.W. Robinson to a seminar, Hunter Environment, organised by the Department of Geography to mark Alan's retirement in December 1980.
(3) An attachment to a letter of nomination for the Macdonald Holmes medal, prepared by D.S. Biddle in July 1982.
