Unethical developments in moral reasoning

Abstract

This paper discusses two problems with Keef's approach to Pryor's (1989) dilemma: first there is his confounding of description with prescription; second there is the contradiction between acting according to a code of ethics and acting in accordance with a set of “universal” moral principles.
