Abstract
Liagorophila Yamada, an acrochaetioid which was only known from the western Pacific, as an endophyte in Liagora spp., is reported for the first time in the Atlantic Ocean (Caribbean coast of Colombia), living endophytically in Liagora mucosa Howe. The habit, vegetative and reproductive morphology of the Caribbean plant are described; it only differs from the type species on the presence of monosporangia.
