Pages 141-146 | Received 26 Sep 1966, Published online: 08 Nov 2007

Synopsis

In controlled experiments diets containing 0.0125 or 0.025 per cent (w/v) dimetridazole (1,2‐dimethyl‐5‐nitromidazole) fed to Norfolk White turkeys, in a blackhead‐free environment, during 2 generations, produced no effect on reproduction. When fed continuously at a level of 0.05 per cent from day‐old throughout one generation it produced an adverse effect on percentage fertility and hence poult production.
