ABSTRACT
The use of the Star-tron Night Vision System in the examination of alterations, over-writing and obliterations on questioned documents was compared with conventional infrared luminescence photographic techniques. The Star-tron was found to provide the basis for a rapid and effective visual means of screening documents.

L'auteur s'est servi du renforçateur optique Star-tron (qui sert normalement à la photographie nocture) pour examiner des documents falsifiés par adjonction, par surcharge et par enlèvement. La méthode a été comparée aux techniques photographiques conventionnelles qui font appel à la luminescence de l'infrarouge. Le Star-tron s'est révélé un moyen efficace et rapide de vérification.
