Borders, Boundaries and Mandate: An International Perspective on Forensic Anthropology

&

ABSTRACT

Fifteen articles arising from the Forensic Anthropology section of the 11th Meetings of the International Association of Forensic Sciences, August 2–7, 1987, Vancouver are introduced. While there are practitioners of forensic anthropology in many countries around the world, it is evident that both within and between borders there is considerable variation in our formal affiliations and in the degree to which we are asked to contribute to death investigation.
