SUMMARY
The chromosome complement (2 n) in the males of Distantiella theobroma and Sahlbergella singularis in 26A+X + Y each and the complement in Bryocoropsis laticollis and Helopeltis corbisiert is 32A+X+Y and 16A+X + Y respectively.
Systematics of Bryocorinae in light of cytological data in discussed in detail and it is suggested that Helopeltis corbisieri retains a protomirid chromosome pattern.
Chromosome behaviour of the capsids shows close similarities in meiosis to the processes known in Cimex and Nabis.
