The Springfield, Missouri, workshop described in this article was a part of the on-going program of the Horace Mann-Lincoln Institute of School Experimentation, Teachers College, Columbia University. Ruth Cunningham, a research associate in the Institute, acted as director of the workshop, representing the Institute and Teachers College. Gordon Mackenzie is the executive officer of the Institute of School Experimentation. This report has been reviewed by D. C.
