Comment on “ Burners Producing Large Excess Enthalpies”

Pages 147-151 | Received 02 Dec 1974, Published online: 15 May 2007

Abstract

An error in the model used by Hardesty and Weinberg (1974) for the analysis of the efficiency of a recirculating burner-energy converter system is discussed. A different model is presented and analyzed. It is demonstrated that in theory the thermodynamic efficiency increases continuously with the amount of heat recirculation.
