Kinetics of Hydrogen Oxidation Part 3. Catalysis with Hydrogen Bromide

Abstract

Intertransitions of inhibition and catalysis are discussed. The mechanism of inhibited hydrogen oxidation is analysed and the contribution from individual elementary processes responsible for the catalytic action of hydrogen bromide is considered. Numerical analysis of complete sets of kinetic equations shows that catalysis is due to two consecutive elementary processes

The initial HBr regenerates here and a new H atom is formed.
