Abstract

Measurements of ammonia emissions in the exhaust gases of a lean-burning laboratory combustion tunnel were made by means of a variety of measurement techniques, using a common sampling method to allow meaningful intercomparisons. Combustion parameters varied from cold flow conditions to a range of equivalence ratios, sampling temperatures, and dopant concentrations. The advantages and disadvantages of the techniques are discussed with emphasis on their suitability for combustion research.
