Abstract
Burning ra1es of compressed condensed mixtures containing AP as oxidiser and seven different polyacrylic fuels were measured at several pressures. In all cases the burning rate followed the relation r = aP11. Further, these data revealed that at ambient pressure the burning rate is not too sensitive to the chemical nature of the fuel, but at higher pressures it does depend upon the chemical nature of the fuel and also on the physical factors such as thermal stability and density of the condensed mixture.
