Robert Caper

Robert Caper, M.D., is assistant clinical professor of psychiatry at the UCLA School of Medicine. He is a former member of the editorials boards of the International Journal of Psychoanalysis and the Journal of the American Psychoanalytic Association. He is the author of numerous papers on psychoanalysis as well as three books: Immaterial Facts: Freud's Discovery of Psychic Reality and Klein's Development of His Work (1988), A Mind of One's Own (1999), and Building Out into the Dark: Theory and Observation in Science and Psychoanalysis (2008). He is in private practice in Vermont.
