Rediscovering the Role of Interscholastic Sports

Pages 122-132 | Published online: 01 Apr 2009

Abstract

For athletics to be anything more than a drain on school and taxpayer resources, these programs must undergo serious changes.

William J. Davis is a middle school history teacher and coach in Moriarty, New Mexico. His current research interests include school improvement initiatives, focusing on the application of business models in schools. He is a graduate of Eastern New Mexico University.
