Pages 463-464 | Published online: 30 Jan 2008

Abstract

The Reich Council on Research which was formed in March, 1937, under the presidency of General Dr. Karl Becker, has just celebrated its first anniversary. The formation of the Council on Research was inspired by the Fuhrer's directions for an acceleration of the technological and military development of Germany under the so-called Four-Year Plan. It may be of interest to the readers of the Educational Forum to acquaint themselves with the guiding principles laid down for the work of the Council by the Reich Minister of Science, Education, and Popular Development.
