Pages 181-185 | Published online: 30 Jan 2008

Abstract

To most people discipline means unquestioning obedience. But it should have a much broader significance. It should include willingness to cooperate, to learn, and to follow, to supervise and to be supervised, because in American Society today most people must meet these requirements. Children should acquire in school the various disciplines that will not only result in school-room order but in orderliness of their whole lives.
