Conceptualizing the Blue Guitar and Room 13: Engaging in the Arts With Teacher Candidates and Education Faculty

Abstract

The experience of Room 13 contributed to the imaginations and educational visions of prospective and practicing educators. Three broad themes emerged as a result of an inquiry into the aesthetic experiences of both teacher candidates and education faculty who traveled to Fort William, Scotland, to explore Room 13 at Caol Primary School. These experiences provided the foundation for connecting the arts across curricular disciplines.
