Summary
A previous article (Lane, 1973b) demonstrated how two aspects of drugs education‐‐help for individuals with their problems and education about drugs are often confounded. Having discussed the school's influence on individuals and their problems, this article focusses on education about drugs, and argues that there are many factors, such as the selective use by pupils of information, their attitudes and group membership, which must be taken into account if drugs education is to achieve anything.
