Summary
This article summarizes the findings and conclusions of a recent major NFER reportFootnote 1 which resulted from a two‐year (1977‐9) evaluation of the Unified Vocational Preparation pilot programme. The research was carried out and written up by a team of three, Christine Moor, Sheelagh Hill and Monika Jamieson Wray. What follows is a brief overview of their work and of the main issues raised in their report. It should be borne in mind that what is documented here refers to the first three years of the experimental period only up to the summer of 1979.
