Saving Costs on School Building

Summary

In recent years the fall in birth rate has meant that many schools are now used at less than their designed capacities. A research project sponsored by the Social Science Research Council has been looking into the possibilities of using this spare capacity and the extent to which town planners should let it influence decisions on where to allocate land for housing.
