Teacher Education and Linguistic Diversity: a national survey

Abstract

In a context of changing perceptions of cultural diversity, this paper reports the main findings of the first national survey of provision in initial teacher training for preparing teachers of ethnic minority community languages, and it adds to what is known about the preparation offered to all initiates in respect of language diversity in schools.
