IKBS in Education

Pages 147-154 | Published online: 02 Aug 2006

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to review the potential contribution of intelligent knowledge‐based systems (IKBS) to education. It is concluded that IKBS should be of interest to educationalists because of its concern to develop microtheories of learning and teaching, not because of any computer‐based systems that may result, but that claims that IKBS will radically alter educational theorising are misplaced.
