COMPUTER RATE OF RETURN ANALYSIS OF MIXED CAPITAL PROJECTS

ABSTRACT

Computer codes for the routine implementation of tbe Teichroew-Robicheck-Montalbano (TRM) rate-of-return formulation are presented. Project cash flow sequences are classified as one of the four TRM cases and then analyzed. Project investment rates (PIR) are calculated for user specified minimum attractive rates of return.

THOMAS L, WARD is a Professor of Engineering Management and Industrial Engineering in Speed Scientific School at the University of Louisville. He received the B.S. (Physics) from the University of Texas at Austin and the M.S. and Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Southern California. He is a past Chairman of the Engineering Economy Division of the American Society of Engineering Education, past Director of the Engineering Economy Division of the Institute of Industrial Engineers, and co-recipient of the 1985 Eugene L. Grant Award for the best paper in that year's volume of The Engineering Economist.
