Pages 305-309 | Published online: 25 Apr 2007

Abstract

An experiment using a simple key-pressing task was carried out to see whether subjects could maintain high accuracy and speed up their performance when they were not under the direct and immediate supervision of the experimenter. Two groups of subjects wore used, both followed the same training schedule and both had to do their own scoring. The experimenter stayed with the control group but not with the experimental group. Both groups showed comparable amounts of improvement while maintaining high accuracy.
