Abstract
In order to determine the extent to which adult aerobic capacity can hi; predicted from childhood aerobic capacity, a four-year study was carried out on 112 schoolboys. The correlation coefficient, relating results for first year (age 13) and fifth year (age 17), was 0·68. The usefulness of such predictability in the selection of.some classes of potential champion athletes and sportsmen is discussed.
