Summary and prospects: occupational health and safety

Abstract

This summary covers three conference sessions on occupational health and safety, of which six papers are included in this issue of Ergonomics. Based on these sessions we will comment on the role of ergonomics programmes in occupational health and safety in industry. The summary is divided into the following topics: goal, international aspects, epidemiology, team consideration, problem analysis, development of solutions, implementation and evaluation.
