Abstract
KLN and Er:KLN crystal was grown by Czochraslki method. The growth technology was discussed. The growth of Er:KLN was easier than that of KLN. Pure KLN and Er:KLN crystal exhibited the TB structure by X-ray analysis. Compared with pure KLN, there was no new peaks in X-ray diffraction and Raman spectra results for Er:KLN, which showed that Er entered the lattice of crystal. But, dopant resulted in the change of peak intensity for both spectra. The absorption edge of Er:KLN shifted to ultraviolet band because the capacity of attracting electron of Er3+ was larger than that of K+, Li+ and Nb5+.
