Abstract
The structure of Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-PbTiO3 ferroelectric ceramics in the vicinity of its morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) was studied by using both high-resolution and synchrotron x-ray diffraction experiments. Fitting of the (200) and (111) diffraction lines for (1−x)Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-xPbTiO3 (x = 0.31, 0.32) ceramics reveal that there are two phases, tetragonal and pseudo-cubic phases, coexisted in the sample, and the composition of the constitutive phases changes with PT content. The implication of the MPB was discussed.
