Amplitude-Dependent Internal Friction in SrTiO 3 in a Vicinity of the Ferroelastic Phase Transition

&
Pages 75-92 | Published online: 22 Jan 2011

Amplitude dependences of the low-frequency internal friction and shear modulus in the ferroelastic as well as in the paraelastic phases of SrTiO 3 crystal have been studied using a torsion pendulum. Experimental data are discussed in terms of models of dislocation hysteresis and ferroelastic domain boundary dynamics.
