NIR Raman Study of Ferroelectric Phase Transitions in Pyridinium Tetrafluoroborate

Abstract

Raman scattering studies of powdered [C5H6N]+[BF4]- (PyBF4) are presented in wide temperature range. Temperature changes of Raman profile parameters of bands related to external vibrations of PyBF4 revealed anomalies at temperature of phase transitions: T1≅ 200 K and TC ≅ 238 K.
