In this paper, we describe a new chemical route for the preparation nanocrystalline Barium Strontium Titanate, (Ba1−x Sr x )TiO 3 (BST) powders. The crystalline phase, particle size and morphology of the BST powders thus synthesized are examined by XRD and TEM. The stoichiometry of the synthesized BST powder is discussed in relation to the mechanism of formatiom of the perovskite phase. The dielectric properties of samples prepared by this new method are also reported.
