Abstract

Crystals of Cs₂FeI₄ were grown by Bridgman method and differential thermal analysis and dielectric constant measurements were performed. It was found that Cs₂FeI₄ has the first order phase transition around 270 K on heating and 220 K on cooling. The similarity of the phase transitions among Cs₂FeI₄, Cs₂CoI₄, Cs₂ZnI₄ and Cs₂MnI₄ was discussed.
