Abstract

Lead-free BiMe2/3Sb1/3O3 (Me = Co, Mg, Ni, Zn) ceramic compounds have been successfully synthesized by the conventional method. X-ray diffraction technique was used to investigate the phase evolution of calcined powders and sintered samples. Microstructures of sintered pellets were studied by the scanning electron microscopic techniques. To reveal the phase transitions in new compounds the low-frequency acoustic study was carried out, and data obtained were compared with the dielectric response of the samples in the temperature interval of 300–850 K.

Acknowledgments

The work was carried out at financial support of Ministry of Education and Science of Russian Federation (project no. RNP2.1.1/4406) and RFBR (grant no. 09-02-97500). Measurements were partly performed using a scientific equipment of Joint Research Centre “Diagnostics of structure and properties of nanostructure materials” at Belgorod State University.
